I would like to be the first person to congratulate Liverpool on a successfull season..  they managed 10 games unbeaten and without conceeding a goal..  Can I let you into a little secret though???  The season doesn't finish at the end of January, it finishes in May... so when you all thought that getting second place this season, why dont you play until May, that way you may finish in the top 4.  By the way...  Rafa... stop complaining about people diving, concentrate on sorting your team out to score goals...  last time i remember, football is all about SCORING GOALS!!  nice concept..

Liverpool is a huge and proud club.  We are well capable of finishing 2nd in the premiership.  Rafa has our 100% support in accusing that little pu%%y Robben who fell on his back quicker than a 5 quid whore.

I don't seem to get the whole goal-scoring point made by Mr B.  The crucial factor is how many more can you score than your opponents and not how many you can score.  If it was the latter, Real Madrid would be the best team in the world. 2nd best defence and 4th best goal difference in the premiership suits us fine.

Coincidentally I was looking at the Tables and there is a 12 point difference between L and E, which is pretty much the difference between Apoel and Ael.  I think this sums up my point perfectly: Liverpool are in a totally different class to Everton.

I accept Liverpool are better than Everton THIS season...  not so long ago we finished above Liverpool..  so enjoy it this season...  What gets me, is Liverpool and Liverpool fans thinking they are in the same league as Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal...  Since the Premiership started I can't remember the great Liverpool coming close to wining the league..  I just wished Liverpool would accept that they are not the team they used to be.  Stop living in the past... even Blackburn have won the premiership since its started...  please give me a break..  im not comparing Liverpool to Everton as we are not the team we used to be...  I just wished Liverpool fans realise, they are not the team they used to be...

PS what a fluke last season wining the European Cup...  AC Milan were robbed of the trophy they deserved...

My dear Mr Bulldog,

There has not been a season in living memory when Everton had a better team than Liverpool. Not even last year when you managed to narrowly finish above us in the league table.  You earned a Champions league spot; what became of it? All you did was squander an English place in Europe.

Why do we believe we are in the same league with the Chelsea's, Utd's and Arsenal's of the world? There are two variables to ascertain greatness: historical and current performance.

1. Historical: I will not go into great lengths listing all the trophies and feats we have achieved in the olden days.

2. Current: Trophies: Current European Champions (I will elaborate on this later on).

Current standings: 3rd in Premiership, last 16 of the Champions League

No. of players expected to be competing in the world cup: as many as Arsenal and Utd.

The European Cup was no fluke. AC Milan were not robbed.  To use the term "robbed", 3rd party influences like the referee must have had a significant role in the outcome of the match.  If I can recall refereeing in that game was a non-issue. The Cup was won with heart and belief. It was a Baghadatis/Greek like comeback.

Its a pity that your hatred for your big rivals do not allow you to comprehend the magnitude of the achievement that Liverpool realised in Constantinople.

Noone can deny Liverpool's history.. my friend, I know my footbal and here is the list of trophies Liverpool has won over the years:

Chronological list of trophies won

  • 1901: Football League Championship (manager: T. Watson)
  • 1906: Football League Championship (manager: T. Watson)
  • 1922: Football League Championship (manager: D. Ashworth)
  • 1923: Football League Championship (manager: M. McQueen)
  • 1947: Football League Championship (manager: G. Kay)
  • 1964: Football League Championship (manager: B. Shankly)
  • 1965: FA Cup (manager: B. Shankly)
  • 1966: Football League Championship (manager: B. Shankly)
  • 1973: UEFA Cup, Football League Championship (manager: B. Shankly)
  • 1974: FA Cup (manager: B. Shankly)
  • 1976: UEFA Cup, Football League Championship (manager: B. Paisley)
  • 1977: UEFA European Cup, Football League Championship (manager: B. Paisley)
  • 1978: UEFA European Cup (manager: B. Paisley)
  • 1979: Football League Championship (manager: B. Paisley)
  • 1980: Football League Championship (manager: B. Paisley)
  • 1981: UEFA European Cup, Football League Cup (manager: B. Paisley)
  • 1982: Football League Championship, Football League Cup (manager: B. Paisley)
  • 1983: Football League Championship, Football League Cup (manager: B. Paisley)
  • 1984: UEFA European Cup, Football League Championship, Football League Cup (manager: J. Fagan)
  • 1986: Football League Championship, FA Cup (manager: K. Dalglish)
  • 1988: Football League Championship (manager: K. Dalglish)
  • 1989: FA Cup (manager: K. Dalglish)
  • 1990: Football League Championship (manager: K. Dalglish)
  • 1992: FA Cup (manager: G. Souness)
  • 1995: Football League Cup (manager: R. Evans)
  • 2001: UEFA Cup, FA Cup, Football League Cup (manager: G. Houllier)
  • 2003: Football League Cup (manager: G. Houllier)
  • 2005: UEFA Champions League (manager: R. Benitez)

If you know your football, then you will realise, that Liverpool football club only exists because of Everton FC.  If you want to talk history...  Liverpool only exist because its "working class" (and that's being polite!!) staff decided to make their own team.  Anfield was actually Evertons ground, but we leased Anfield to Liverpool FC and then built Goodison...  So..  congratulations for as many trophies you have won, but always remember you would have nothing if it was for us!

Anyway, this is Liverpool's history...  I am not convinced that Liverpool have the same kind of "quality" as Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal...

Let's see what happens in the Champions League...  We were unfairly knocked out of the Champions League because that F%&*ing referee disallowed a perfectly good goal by Duncan Ferguson.. we would be having a different conversation now...  but hey... we're not there and you are... (not fairly though!!) that's a whole other discussion...

Over to you zarko!! and for all you other Liverpool fans... branch!!  were are you?? I was expecting a response from you...
